The Hamstring Release is a friend to those who love running activities, cycling, joining a pickup soccer game, or swinging your favorite driver on the golf course. Releasing tension from your hamstrings will allow you to have better hip mobility and better pelvis and low back stability to support better positions during exercise and activity. Together, this mobility and stability will improve movement efficiency and recovery.
Please watch the video for instructions to perform this MOBO release.
- Adjust your knee and foot position as needed to better position the rollers on the muscle belly of the hamstrings. It is important to find a position in which the hamstring muscles can relax while rolling.
- The IT Band (most lateral/outside line from knee to hip) is a highly sensitive connective tissue structure. Adjust for only minimal to moderate pressure if needed.
- Discontinue if there is shooting, zinging, or radiating pain of any kind.
